Lamberton Scholar Athlete Overview & Application Request
PROGRAM
DESCRIPTION
Our goal is to grant two scholarships annually to sophomore student-athletes in high school. We strive to maintain gender balance within the program. Lamberton Scholars can retain their scholarship eligibility as long as they remain active members of their high school golf teams and uphold their academic standing. Upon completing high school, Scholar Athletes will have the opportunity to reapply to continue their scholarship throughout their college journey. Lamberton Scholars are granted access to the golf course and practice facilities according to PGC guidelines outlined in the Lamberton Scholar Code of Conduct, provided to each applicant during the application process.
APPLYING FOR A SCHOLARSHIP
In order to qualify for a Lamberton Scholarship, candidates must complete an application process which includes submitting an application form, academic transcripts, and letters of recommendation from their high school Golf Coach and/or Athletic Director. Additionally, candidates will undergo an interview with the Scholarship Committee. Following approval from both the Committee and the PGC Board, each successful Lamberton Scholar and their parents will attend an orientation session led by the Program Director. During this orientation, each Lamberton Scholar will be paired with a PGC mentor who will provide guidance and support, especially during their initial months.
